Secrets of Couples Who Have Been Married 40 Years

In his most recent comedy special, 2017, comedian Louis CK brings up couples who have been married for 60 years, and the fact that people love those stories: “Aw…. Isn’t that automatically wonderful? But how do you know? You just know how long it’s been.” We need to put things on the table here. Being married 40+ doesn’t automatically mean it is a healthy, happy marriage. Not by a long shot. Now, regarding those who do have a healthy marital relationship after 40+ years, there are some quick tips: – No man is a n island? Wrong! Every man or woman is indeed an island. You need to treat your partner as a tourist, a visitor to your personal island. They don’t speak the language, and they don’t know their way around. This means that it is on you to let them know the locals rules, customs, laws, and regulations. Don’t expect anyone to just get it. Not gonna happen without some work at both ends. – Don’t expect your relationship to fill needs which are entirely your responsibility. A relationship can help you develop your personality and personal philosophy, but don’t make the mistake of putting all of your eggs in that basket. You are not here to ‘fix’ anyone but yourself. Don’t expect your partner to sort you out, or to fill emotional or physical voids which you yourself have created. – Understand that tolerating things – as opposed to treating them with love and openness – can easily lead to resentment, bitterness, hate, and suffering. Don’t silently tolerate things you don’t like about each other, or about your kids for that matter. Don’t expect your partner to simply tolerate you or your innate imperfections, just because you are flawed human beings. You should be brutally honest with each other, despite that. Obviously, choose the right time and place, be sensitive to circumstances, and watch what you say, but definitely say something. Otherwise, your home, your relationship, your kids – they will become your own personal hell.

Louis CK has taken some heat in the wake of the #MeToo movement because he masturbated in front of female employees who worked under him. Something that is definitely not ok to do. He has made a bit of a comeback in recent days. He had another comedy special, which was well received. It was not received well by the feminist community but that is likely because they were never fans of his work to begin with, he was always crude and critical of feminists. Following the masturbation incident and the #MeToo movement in general there was no back tracking and gaining any feminist fans. Not that he was ever really looking to gain any feminist fans to begin with since he doesn’t really seem like the type of guy who cares if he looses fans due to his content.

He did lose some fans for sexually harassing someone, he actually talks about it during his new special. He says he took a trip to France because everyone in America hated him. Had to give the entire country time to cool off before he could return.

Tigi Fashionista Shampoo

I usually hate washing my hair or taking showers in general. I’m kind of a hippy. I prefer just going natural. When I do shower, I usually was my hair since it doesn’t make sense to wash my entire body and not wash my hair. I used Tigi fashionista shampoo and it was way too posh for me. I like the natural products way more. I’ve used really good olive oil to clean my hair. I received average results from olive oil. I don’t mind just not washing my hair, but other people seem to get upset when I go long periods of time without showering.

Apparently, I start to smell bad, but to be honesty, I don’t care if I smell. I would prefer to just be around other people who don’t shower. All these really posh preppy like to use fancy shampoos like tigi fashionista shampoo. For a natural girl like me I don’t think I am really the market they are looking to reach. I don’t wear makeup or take a lot of selfies. I really don’t like any basic stuff that women are into these days. Walking around in nature and being grounded are much more important to me. I think for girls who like tigi fashionista shampoo likes on instagram are more important than seeing a sunset. Nature is so beautiful, but so many people just post picture of nature to get likes on social media. Our generation cares way too much about social media, it’s gross. Why do people care more about likes on social media than about being in touch with their own emotions and self worth. People base their their self-worth off of likes on social media, and then we wonder why so many people have low self-worth. Teenage suicide rates are at some of the highest in documented history. I think you can directly link this to social media. These poor teenage girls compare themselves to all these girls on instagram with filters and a pound of makeup on their faces. Then these poor girls compare themselves to a beauty image that is attainable naturally or even in real life.

I think companies try and profit off of these insecurities. Companies like tigi fashionista shampoo will tell you their product will make you more beautiful and other nonsense. No products will make you more beautiful or get you more likes on social media. The problem today is that these things don’t really matter. Basing your self-worth on social media is a huge problem in society today. People need to become more grounded more accepting of who they are and not compare themselves to other people. Especially because most people are comparing themselves to fake people. The use of filters and too much makeup is making unrealistic beauty standards for teenage girls. Companies like tigi fashionista shampoo bank on women doubting their beauty and hope to make money off of it. That’s why i use natural products that are cheaper and better for the environment.

Private Labels

In doing research on the subject of private label products versus well-known brand names or government owned enterprises, there are some strikingly intriguing points that I think any manager, business owner or future entrepreneur should know about. These points differ based on the regions that they specifically refer to – as markets obviously differ from country to country and region to region. For instance, Innovative retailers in North America have shown the rest of the trade how to develop a private-label line that delivers quality superior to that of national brands. Consider Loblaws’ President’s Choice line of 1,500 items, which includes the leading chocolate-chip cookie sold in Canada. As a result of careful, worldwide procurement, Loblaws can squeeze the national brands between its top-of-the-line President’s Choice label and the regular Loblaws private-label line. And President’s Choice has even expanded beyond Loblaws’ store boundaries: Fifteen U.S. supermarket chains now sell President’s Choice products as a premium private-label line.

In European supermarkets, higher private-label sales result in higher average pretax profits. U.S. supermarkets average only 15% of sales from private labels; they average 2% pretax profits from all sales. By contrast, European grocery stores such as Sainsbury’s, with 54% of its sales coming from private labels, and Tesco, with 41%, average 7% pretax profits.

Of course, the reasons for the strength of private labels in Europe are partly structural. First, regulated television markets mean that cumulative advertising for name brands has never approached U.S. levels. Second, national chains dominate grocery retailing in most west European countries, so retailers’ power in relation to manufacturers’ is greater than it is in the United States. In the United States, the largest single operator commands only 6% of national supermarket sales, and the top five account for a total of 21%. In the United Kingdom, by contrast, the top five chains account for 62% of national supermarket sales.
But growing numbers of U.S. retailers such as the Kroger Company believe that strong private-label programs can successfully differentiate their stores and cement shoppers’ loyalty, thereby strengthening their positions with regard to brand-name manufacturers and increasing profitability. What’s more, cash-rich European retailers like Ahold (a Dutch supermarket chain) and Sainsbury’s have begun to acquire U.S. supermarket chains and may attempt to replicate their private-label programs in the United States.
In writing about a subject that is as vastly challenging to describe as it is to understand – it’s always essential for me to utilise the names of actual real-world brands to help give you a better understanding of the nature of the marketplace and how things can change so quickly. Being able to break into the market means trying to redefine what consumers want or identifying a gradual shift in wants or needs before they actually happen, thus enabling your private label product to be the one that sticks out at the end of the day. Finding a suitable retailer can be the key element in whether your private label product survives the harsh marketplace or not.

What Is Good For You And What Isn’t

Selenium sulfide is a chemical compound created by fusing atomic selenium (Se) and sulfur (S).  The selenium and sulfur combination has been shown to promote skin health and thus selenium sulfide is found in many cosmetic, hair, and skin care products. It’s probably best known as an antifungal and is used to treat tinea versicolor, a fungal imbalance of the skin. Selenium sulfide helps relieve itching and flaking associated with dandruff. It may also help soothe seborrhea, or seborrheic dermatitis. Depending on its intended application, selenium sulfide is usually listed as either selenium disulfide (SeS2) or selenium hexasulfide (Se2S6). The benefits described in this article apply to both forms. Let’s begin by taking a deeper look at selenium disulfide.

If you’re familiar with chemistry, you’ve probably already recognized that selenium disulfide is created by fusing a single selenium atom with two sulfur atoms. Selenium disulfide offers antifungal properties and it’s added to shampoos and conditioners specially formulated for conditions like dandruff or dermatitis. When choosing a selenium sulfide shampoo, don’t be thrown if “selenium sulfide” and “selenium disulfide” are used interchangeably. When reviewing shampoo ingredients, know that even if “selenium disulfide” is listed, some formulas actually use a mixture of both elements (while roughly maintaining the 1:2 ratio). All things equal, this should not affect product efficacy.

Many shampoos also contain a harsh, synthetic antifungal drug called ketoconazole.] Ketoconazole is also used to make a prescription cream to treat fungal skin infections. Because ketoconazole is artificial, it will not be found in any organic shampoo. Honeydew is an amazing company that has the best organic products out there check out their site and get yourself a free sample.

Safety concerns have led to ketoconazole use being restricted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It has been shown to cause severe problems, including liver damage. The list of potential side effects includes swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs, difficulty breathing or swallowing, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, hair loss, chills, nosebleeds, and even decreased sexual ability. When comparing cosmetic, skin care, or hair care products, it is important to double-check the ingredients. Many products are made with toxic chemicals that should be avoided. Fortunately, selenium and sulfur are both natural elements suitable for organic living. is an amazing up and coming business that has everything to offer
The same antifungal properties that make selenium sulfide an effective ingredient in shampoo can also be had in many different lotions, creams, and related skin care products] Selenium sulfide lotion (and shampoo, for that matter) comes in varying strength levels. There is a 1%, over-the-counter formula which has proven as effective at combatting ringworm as sporicidal therapy. A more potent 2.5% formula is available only by prescription. Even though selenium sulfide is made from pure, natural elements, it is still subject to regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.Wellness is the body’s natural ability to care for, manage, and even heal itself. When you provide your body with good nutrition, for example, it’s more apt to function normally and you’re more likely to experience wellness. With that understanding, it’s difficult to say that selenium sulfide promotes wellness in the same way. In fact, selenium sulfide is most often used to deal with side effects of being unwell. Shop natures design is a great company that has amazing organic products check out their Facebook page for more information.

HELP! Fix My A/C

Getting annual checkups for your A/C can save you a truckload of money in future repairs. I learned this the hard way, and it is not a pleasant lesson to learn. No, sir.

At the time, I was living in Jerusalem. My house had a single air conditioning unit, in the living room, and I liked it that way. It worked absolutely fine for years, and then it broke down one summer evening. I had no idea what could have caused it, but I called a technician nonetheless. And it ended up costing a lot to repair the damage. Now, ehre is the thing: a few weeks before that, a friend of mine had his A/C checked out by this company who works in the Jerusalem / Beit Shemesh area. He told me maybe I should ago get a checkup, and that he could hook me up with a good price. I told him that if it isn’t broken, I don’t want to fix it. Reasonable, right? Why should an air conditioning repairman come near my A/C, if no repairs are necessary? Made perfect sense to me, and I was happily going on with my so-called life.

Little did I know, that deep in the bowels of my unit, there was trouble a-brewin’. A few weeks after I told him I didn’t need to fix what isn’t broken, I needed to fix it because it was broken. I blamed my friend for jinxing my A/C, and he in turn blamed his mother. Well, there wasn’t much I could do about that, so I took the number of the guy who was by his place, and sure enough he showed up and checked out my unit.

Long story short – the A/C was fixed, but it cost me. And the guy told me that if I had called him when he was doing my friend’s maintenance checkup, there is a chance they would have caught it before it caused my unit to break down. Inverters are very sensitive, but this also depends on the comapny and model, of course. If you are in a serious home repair crisis check out Efes Takalot.

When the A/C goes, it really is annoying. Is it as bad as having the toilet, or shower, or washing machine go? No, it isn’t, but it is annoying nonetheless, especially in the summer. You know what I am talking about. You come home, feeling like a big drop of sweat, you push that button, and…. nothing happens. It can drive you nuts, because you know what is supposed to happen. And then, you probably go through a whole range of emotions and subtle pattern changes. Whatever, as long as its fixed. Jony Mitchell sang you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone, and she was right. Jony never lied, man. She spoke the truth. It is true to paradise, and it is true to the air conditioner in my old apartment. It was a good air conditioner up until that point and after, but I am still kicking myself in the butt for not taking my friend up on his offer and getting things checked out. Needless to say, I do now. Once a year.

The New Discovery

It wasn’t until the early 1920’s that the antiseptic properties of the tea tree’s oil were seriously studied. Until then, the oil had been used for many generations by the natives of Australia, as well as those who were around at the time when it was still a colony! After Western civilization discovered the tea tree and it’s oil, it became all the rage. By the time WWII came around, tea tree oil was issued to soldiers as part of their personal first-aid kits. It was used many times throughout the war, but afterwards its popularity declined.

In recent years, tea tree has been gaining popularity once again. It is an essential oil that does it all, and it is no wonder that so many people are noticing its advantages. It is one of the few oils I’d take to a desert island, for sure. It is used to clean, to heal, to disinfect, and it takes care of mosquitoes and pests, and is beneficial for many body, skin, and hair issues.

You can use tea tree oil to help treat acne, lice, fungus, infections, sores, cuts, bruises, and other unpleasant conditions, found on

If you plan on using tea tree as part of your day-to-day routine, consult with your physician. Essential oils are some of the most potent substances in the natural world, which is why it is advised to use them with caution and in moderation. Children and women are who expecting and/or nursing should definitely consult a health care professional before beginning any kind of treatment with essential oils, tea tree oil included.

You should be sure to purchase 100% pure tea tree oil. Just because the label says “tea tree oil” it doesn’t necessary mean it is pure. Make sure it is the only ingredient on the list. That is how you know. Tea tree is tea tree. Some companies mix oils, which is why it is best to check that list. Also, there are no grades in essential oil. 100% is always 100%, unless the company is flat-out lying to the consumer. Bottles and vials which have “aromatherapy grade”, or “medical grade”, or “massage grade” written on the label are usually just fishing for customers who are not aware of the fact that there is no such thing. Aromatherapists may have a specific brand of oil they choose to use, but tea tree is tea tree.

Tea-tree, source of tea-tree oil leaves, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

The Australian tea tree is also known as melaleuca alternifolia. It may seem like its popularity is shifting, but the truth of the matter is that essential oils never truly stop being popular. It just seems like every generation gets the chance to rediscover their strength and their power. It happens with music. It happens with fashion. And it also happens with traditional cosmetics and beauty products.

Tea tree is one of the best anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antiseptic, and all-around ‘good guys’ of medical agents. You need to use it in moderation, but it is one oil which has so many methods of use, inside and out.
